A host of new websites
Oh my, we have been busy. Our web developers have just finished work on not one, not two, but three lovely new websites!
As always, all three sites are fully responsive, so it doesn’t matter what device you’re looking at them on, they’ll work smoother and look great.
It’s time to blow our trumpet and introduce you to the sites:
‘Value and Variety’ is the motto of this North London chain of tile shops. Home Tiles sells a huge range of wall and floor tiles at very competitive prices. The website is not an ecommerce one, but because many Home Tiles’ lines are exclusive, they need to showcase the range in order to encourage people to visit one of the stores. So we added the functionality for customers to get a closer look at a tile from every range online before deciding whether or not to visit a store to see it ‘in the flesh’, so to speak.
To help customers work out exactly how many tiles they’d need, we also included a handy calculator based on the area to be tiled.
Home Tiles is extremely proud of its high customer service levels, and aims to increase its growing reputation for being helpful and friendly. As part of this, it is also using the new blog to provide kitchen, bathroom and general home design tips, thanks to a new affiliate partnership with an interior designer.

Your Apartment provides luxury serviced apartments in a variety of locations in North London. We were briefed to refresh the look of the old website to bring it up-to-date, and also make the user experience more fluid. Beside design, the main difference in the new website is that we were able to group apartments together by area so someone with a specific location in mind can easily find what they’re looking for.
Lia Parkinson is a milliner based in Hertfordshire who makes bespoke couture hats. She wanted a simple, clean website that would let the elegance of her products speak for themselves. She also wanted us to design a new logo for her – we created it with the reassuring feel of good old-fashioned, handmade quality, but with a modern twist which combines Lia’s initials together to make an item of millinery… hats off to that!

Sustainable website for Sustainable Pipeline Systems
Sustainable Pipeline Systems (SPS) is introducing its game-changing technology for onshore pipeline construction and asked us to build an attractive and fully responsive website that also has the capacity for the future addition of videos, animations and photographs.
The addition of a panoramic image slider on the homepage of the website gives the opportunity for stunning imagery (always a good thing on a website!) which drives home the message that the impact SPS products have on the environment is a lot less than the ‘traditional’ pipeline construction process.
Online the message appears to be subtle, possibly understated, but SPS’s confidence in its products shines through and we think the product comes across as a lot stronger and authentic as a result. If you’ve got an innovative & award-winning product, you need a stylish website. Click To Tweet
So, how do you make a commercial pipeline more environmentally friendly? Usually, pipes are constructed in a steel mill, then taken to a different plant for coating before being taken to the site where they are welded together and lifted into a trench which has to be done with heavy lifting equipment.
SPS pipeline technology cuts out most of the driving and lifting, and all of the welding by using a machine that creates, coats and lays a continuous pipeline in the field by winding steel strips together. As part of the process, it will also apply a monitoring system along the length of the pipe to allow real-time remote monitoring which will immediately flag up any problems at the same time as, vitally, giving an exact location.
The environmental impact required to lay the pipes is minimised in terms of transport and the amount of ground needed for construction sites. As a consequence, it is also a cheaper process and, logistically, makes life simpler for the company in charge of laying the pipeline.
SPS has already had a lot of interest in its technology from the National Grid and a number of construction companies in Oman.
