Cariad in the market for awards
Fantastic news from Cariad Towers – we have recently been announced as finalists in not one, but two categories of the prestigious Hertfordshire Business Awards.
We shall be vying for the title of Small Business of the Year at the glitzy final in November and I’m also thrilled to bits to be up for the Business Person of the Year award.
Huge congratulations must also go to our fellow finalists; getting this far is a wonderful endorsement of everyone’s hard work and achievements.
The whole Cariad team will be out in force at the award ceremony which is being held at Knebworth Barns and is being hosted by BBC’s Look East Anchorman Stewart White – we’re really hoping he’s got some good news for Cariad!
Mixing business and pleasure
We shall be joined at the event by over 400 of the county’s business leaders so it should be a good business networking opportunity as well as a chance for the team to party!
We know we face stiff competition from five other finalists in the Small Business of the Year category:
- PubAffairs Ltd
- TEMAG Pharma Ltd
- Synergi Search & Select Limited
- Foxholes Farm Shop
- Alliance Intelligent Scaffolding Ltd
And I shall be challenging four others for the Business Person of the Year accolade:
- James Lanwarne, Lanwarne Landscapes Ltd
- Warren Bacci, Top Hat Stage & Screen School /Top Talent Agency
- Abi Purser, Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Ltd
- Leigh Muschette, The Cakes and Sugarcraft Shop and The Hertfordshire School of Cake Decorating & Sugar Art
Nail-biting stuff! Whatever the results on the night though, I am so proud of the team and our achievements to date. It hasn’t always been easy but business is booming and the past 12 months have seen a massive growth in the company with five members of staff joining us – necessitating a move to larger premises!
