There’s nothing Team Cariad love more than food, so when we were asked to build a new website for caterer Copleys Food & Events, we were thrilled!
Copleys is a catering company renowned for its delicious home-cooked food made with high-quality ingredients. It has also been running Hopleys Café in Much Hadham since 2012. Then, in 2018, they opened a second café at the Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.
With the expansion of the business, it became clear that the separate websites for the catering business and the cafés were no longer strong enough, so we were tasked to create a new logo and branding and merge the two sites into one in order to bring the brands together and create a modern site with a great user experience.
It was also important to Copleys that the photos on the new website showed off the food and the cafés in their best light, so we brought in our photographer, who specialises in food photography to spend a day in the Hopleys kitchen. Using original photos (rather than stock photos) is a great idea not only because it looks good, but also because it helps a brand get much better organic search results.
Recipe for success
We think you’ll agree that all the ingredients for the new Copleys website have come together to produce a lip-smacking online experience! The stunningly delicious looking photos are prominently displayed, and the website is user-friendly and intuitive to use. It portrays the personality of the brand as a friendly company with a passion for great food.
Copleys has its own kitchen where all the culinary magic happens, supplying its cafés with seasonal food on a daily basis, and producing banquet-worthy food for the catering side of the business. Copleys provides outside catering for a wide range of events including weddings, parties and corporate events, with creative menus and friendly event management.
All the food is sourced from local suppliers as much as possible and many ingredients are sustainably and locally grown.
The new Copleys website is definitely something our web designers enjoyed getting their teeth into!
