We are delighted to be helping our friends at Isabel Hospice in their quest to succeed in this year’s Big Give.
Taking place over two days (December 4th and 5th) the Big Give is a government-backed initiative whereby any money raised by participating charities is doubled. Isabel Hospice is pulling out all the stops to try and raise a whopping £36,000 to pay an Isabel Nurse Specialist Salary for a year and we need your help to achieve this.
Currently, the hospice has 12 community nurses and is keen to fund another one so that everybody who wishes to receive end-of-life care in the comfort of their own home can do so. As we approach Christmas it is a particularly poignant time of year to be reminded that nobody – least of all those facing a life-limiting illness – should be on their own. So our fundraising campaign aims to combine the serious message of the issues facing the hospice with a bit of Christmas cheer.
To this end, we have come up with the idea of an Isabel Hospice Giggle Book social media campaign which we want the whole community to contribute to. All you have to do to get involved is give us your best Christmas Cracker joke and donate £10 (£20 for a company). All the jokes will then be collated and featured in an ebook which will be available to purchase.
Taking part couldn’t be simpler:
If you are an individual:
- Hit the “Contribute Now” button on our Tilt page and submit your joke and a £10 donation
Alternatively if you are a business:
- Email your company logo (if you want it featured in the ebook) to [email protected]
- Submit your joke and £20 donation through the “Contribute Now” button on our Tilt page
- If you’d like to ‘go large’ why not sponsor a whole page in the eBook by donating £100 and your team’s best jokes?
Please make sure all jokes are suitable to be repeated in front of Great Aunt Maud over the Christmas table and make sure they are funny (or at least mildly amusing) – we’re hoping to wade through well over 1,000 of them in the next couple of weeks and we want our tears to be those of laughter!
Follow all the fun on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #ChristmasCrackers – please retweet, like, share and comment whenever you see the social media campaign.
