Cariad’s community goals

Cariad’s community goals

We’ve been on the ball lately, especially when it comes to supporting our local Ladies’ football team. Cariad has just become the official sponsor of the Bury Rangers Ladies Senior XI which plays in the Beds and Herts Women’s Football League (BHWFL).

We hope our sponsorship has spurred the team on. In fact, in their match against Buntingford Town, which was the first time they wore their new Cariad strip (and was also their first game after the latest lockdown), they won with an impressive 3-1 result!  Congratulations to goal scorers Maddie, Grace and Rebecca, and to Sophie who was voted the player of the match.

Proud of our team? Of course, we are! And we think they look fantastic in their red and white jerseys with the Cariad logo printed on the front.

Justine Perry, MD of Cariad Marketing, said: “We are so excited to be sponsoring the Bury Rangers Ladies Football Team, and we can’t wait to cheer them on from the sidelines on match days. When we were looking for a community project to support, we wanted to connect with a team that has a fighting spirit, supports women and represents our local community. Bury Rangers represents all those things and we’re delighted to be their sponsor.”

We’ll be adding Bury Rangers’ fixtures to our calendars and supporting them from the sidelines at their future games.

Fancy a go?

The Bury Rangers Ladies’ first team currently trains at Richard Hale School in Hertford on Monday evenings between 8 pm and 9 pm and Sunday afternoons between 4 pm and 5 pm. They’re always on the lookout for new players of all ages, with or without previous experience, so if you fancy giving it a go, contact the team manager, Jamie Southwell, on 07703 745202 or email [email protected].

Bury Rangers Ladies Senior XI is part of Bury Rangers FC, an FA Charter Standard Community Club – the first Hertford team to achieve chartered status. The club has teams for boys and girls of all ages, together with an inclusive team, Futsal and, of course, the Seniors.
